Remember the Call to Action
I know so well the day in the life of a PRC Director when the copier is on the brink and you can't copy verification forms for clients or Board reports and needed documents. The internet is down and you can't pull up client files and the employees are struggling to perform their tasks.
You're already short staffed and need to assist in the counseling room and you have a client that you're just not emotionally prepared for after the stress of the morning. You have a staff meeting at 12:00 pm, a webinar at 2:00 pm and a Board meeting at 6:00 pm at which time you'll inform the Board, "We need more funds." Before this day even began you had a sick little one at home that you needed a last-minute sitter for. Finally leaving for work the dog ran out the door that you had to chase as you were trying to hurry because you were already late. Sound familiar?
We have to remember that moment in time when we knew God was calling us to action to serve at a Pregnancy Center. It is so important when we get discouraged to stir up our passion within us. John Ensor says it well that we are called to be Cross Bearers for the Child Bearers. Christ knew very well the call upon His life and the feelings of discouragement, betrayal, burn-out, weariness but He didn't let His own feelings stand in the way of the Cross for us. He was a cross bearer for us. The Son of Man must be lifted up so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.(John 3:14)
We also must know that it's Christ in us and not of ourselves that we lead a ministry and do our jobs. (Philippians 4:13.) Christ is the reason for the hope that is within us. We desire for our clients to have this same hope, the hope of knowing a savior that freely offers His grace without judgment so remember the call to action and persevere.
